What is glamping?
Glamping combines the luxury of a hotel with the experience of camping.
At Palare, you stay in fully equipped luxury tents with really comfortable beds immersed in the tonic that is nature but with many of your creature comforts.
What accommodation is available at Palare?
We offer 2-person and 4-person luxury tents, set amidst olive trees and a Mediterranean garden.
Beds can be made up as singles or doubles depending on the group’s configuration.
There are only 3 tents on site so there are never more than 10 people. It’s bijoux and intimate! You are away from the throng.
What amenities are provided in the tents?
Each tent includes comfortable bedding for the season, light cotton throws in summer, and cozy woollen blankets for the cooler months.
Each guest also receives a large cotton waffle towel for the showers located nearby.
There is a DysonBlade fan for cool air in summer, or heat when needed.
There are electrical sockets for your gadgets.
Each tent has its own Yeti cooler box to store drinks there or to take out with you on a picnic.
There are funky electrically charged lamps to use both in the tent or that you can use to light your way about the site at night.
What are the bio products provided in the tents?
We gift you three items – a soap, a room spray and a candle – all made with essential oils from local plants creating our own Umbrian scent made especially for us by Janis from www.lavender-sky.com/
Are there toilets in the tents?
No. There are three toilets on site, two in the Clubhouse, a short stagger from your tent, and one in the shepherd’s hut by the sauna and biolake.
Do I have my own shower?
No, there are three showers, two beautifully designed shower rooms in the Clubhouse and an outdoor shower by the sauna.
What should I bring to make my stay extra comfy?
Bring your favourite comfortable clothing, sunscreen, swimwear and a robe and some form of slip on shoes to go from your tent to the bathroom and about the site. If you have a favourite eyemask and ear plugs, these can be nice if you want a total blackout or sink into the natural sounds and natural light.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes Wi-Fi is available throughout the site, with repeaters out to the Playhouse deck, out to the shepherd’s hut, sauna, bbq area and biolake. However if you would like help with a digital detox during your stay you can also Brick your phone and prescribe time away from apps and notifications, helping you maintain your peace. Is breakfast included?
No, meals are not included, it is a self catering set up but a starter breakfast basket of local produce can be ordered for your arrival.
What is provided in the shared kitchen?
The Clubhouse has a fully equipped catering kitchen, with two large fridge freezers, a washing machine, dishwasher, spices, condiments and our own fresh olive oil is provided.
There is also an aromatic herb garden and from May 2026 a new vegetable patch will be available for guests to help themselves to fresh produce.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
No but private dining is available on request. We have a list of wonderful local chefs that can be hired to cook a range of cuisines and meals for you on site. Cooking lessons and wine pairing can also be arranged.
Where can I eat nearby?
Our nearest village Montone is a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk away. In this medieval village, rated one of the most beautiful in Italy (Montone), you will find 5 quality restaurants, a bar, a bakery, a butcher, a general store, a cash point and a pharmacy.
What facilities are included on-site?
Guests have full use of:
the natural swimming pool, the wood fired sauna, the ice bath, lots of sunset decks, a covered yoga – relaxation tent with panoramic views, 3 hammocks in the shade of the olive grove, 2 zip lines, a trampoline, modern open air kitchen, circular bbq area, two fire pits, petting happy donkeys and a mini pony.
Is wood provided for use?
Yes.
There is ample wood available for you to stoke the sauna to hot hot hot, and create outdoor bbq and fire pits to create your own perfect warm memories.
What are the additional wellness and adventure activities available?
For groups of 4 or more, we can organise a yoga class, a meditation or breathwork session, a soundbath, bike treks, a foraging and cooking experience in Spring or early Autumn and truffle hunting in season.
Italian cooking classes, E-Bike hire and a number of different types of massage are also possible to organise on site.
Are dogs allowed?
Absolutely yes! Encouraged.
Palare is a canine playground. We ask that you are mindful of other guests’ space and preferences towards dogs. Your dog may take a dip in the biolake but not in the plant regeneration area. There is a canine supplement of 25 euros for additional cleaning.
How far is the site from the nearest airport?
Palare is a 30 minute drive from Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi Airport.
Rome is approximately 2.5hrs drive as is Florence, Bologna and Pisa.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes. There is a minimum stay of 2 days.
We want you to have time to actually relax, be here and let nature work its magic on you. You will not want to be in a hurry.
Can I book special events or retreats at Palare?
Yes, we host special retreat weekends and weeks for activities like yoga, cooking, trail running, photography, and more.
The site is also available for celebrations and launch events.
Palare is intimate making it ideal for small groups of friends and families who can secure the whole space privately.
